Nine nueve neuf neun nove

Hi folks!
We just finished up week nine and we are very excited to share our travels with you. The weekend started off to a running start by myself going to South Dakota to shoot a wedding, and Gabby's sister, Nicole, and niece, Zoe, coming up to visit for the weekend. We ended up taking a last minute trip to Minneapolis for my work and got a chance to visit the Mall of America and stay in a Hotel for the night. We had a fun trip and realize how much we love Wisconsin and our smaller city life. While in the mall, there was a Vikings fan party going on (Barfffffffffffff!). We need to remember to always pack the green and gold to be able to represent our world champions in times like those! We are so excited about the lockout finally ending and the chance to enjoy another wonderful season with the Packers. After a day of rest in Eau Claire, we ended up venturing to our old stomping grounds of La Crosse for some more of my work duties. We were fortunate enough to stay with my brother, Eric, and his girlfriend, Mae. The night consisted of going out to eat, laughs, some sparkly beverage that starts with an M I think, and double strength iced coffee served warm. We are now back home and enjoying a little downtime for the weekend. Come next week, the travels start all over again!

The Summer Heat Wave

Hey guys!

This week has been seriously miserable in terms of the weather.  We have had nonstop 90 degree weather with heat indexes of 110 usually.  That meant we spent way too much time indoors and in the air conditioning.  We spent last weekend in Mayville visiting family and then we even stopped at Jellystone to see Evan's dad and Brett and Kristen.  It was a nice little trip before the heat struck.  We have some really busy weeks ahead of us with Evan leaving for the Dakotas tomorrow and then every weekend from here until the end of September are booked.  That means that we will have lots of fun pictures to share with everyone though!  Hope you enjoy the photos from this week!!

Eau Claire Livin'

Hey Guys!

We want to apologize for our late blog post!  We went out of town on Thursday (for the Harry Potter midnight showing) and didn't have an internet connection that was quick enough to upload the photos.  But we are back in Eau Claire and ready to share the past week with you!

This week has been so insane.  I honestly can't even remember what we did so good thing we have some pictures to reference.  We spent the weekend out and about in Eau Claire.  We have really fallen in love with the city.  Carson Park was our first stop.  There was a flock of geese hanging out there so we spent most of our time trying to avoid land mines.  Anna had a lot of fun and she even swam around in the sand at the playground.  She was covered from head to toe and passed out the second we got in the car.  Then we visited downtown and Phoenix Park.  The park was absolutely beautiful with a trail that walks along the Chippewa River.  Anna did a really good job walking on the trail until she attacked two innocent bystanders and tried to steal from their purses.  Luckily, she's cute and the ladies thought she was funny.  The rest of the week we spent enjoying our country home.  It's so much fun to play outside every day and not worry about there being a busy street or a long walk from home.

Please enjoy this week's photo set.

We Made It!

Hey guys!

We are excited to announce that we are all moved in!!!  We moved Friday and it was the hottest, grossest, stickiest day that we've had so far this summer, but it went smoothly.  With an upgraded U-Haul (26 foot), everything was easy to load up and Evan was a rockstart when it came to driving the monster.  We decided this time around to unpack everything right away instead of let it all sit in boxes.  Everything is done with the exception of Anna's room.  She has way too much stuff.  Because we opted for unpacking right away, we haven't really had the opportunity to explore the town, besides our backyard.  This weekend we are hoping to make it out to some of the festivities that are going on.  Speaking of our backyard, that is by far the best part of our new home.  Living in the country is beautiful to say the least.  Our sunlight is so pure and thunderstorms are so much more intense.  It's really been an awesome experience.  Anna, of course, loves the outdoors and has had a blast collecting rocks and sticks and playing in the tall grass.

The Fourth of July has come and gone.  It was a pretty relaxed day for us and we decided to have our own celebration at home instead of venture to the fireworks.  We grilled out and bought some sparklers.  Anna was in awe of the sparklers and enjoyed running around in the dark.  We are excited to catch some fireflies with her sometime in the near future too!

Once our home is all decorated, we look forward to posting some pictures.  Until then, check out what Anna was up to this week!

We are very happy to be able to finally call Eau Claire our home.  We have many new and exciting adventures ahead of us and we are excited to share them all with you!!

With love,
Anna, Evan, and Gabby
